Critical discourse is one of the new approaches in discourse analysis that has recently been used in the analysis of contemporary texts, especially novels, to explain the political, cultural and social developments of society,The way in which one can understand the author's thought and aspiration. Tahir vatar novel Al-laz is one of the works that can be studied in the context of critical discourse analysis.it depicts the years of struggle, armed revolution, and resistance to the occupying forces and reveals the inner divisions of the revolution Al-laz novel fits in with the analytical model of Falklaw's critical discourse, which includes the author in a simple language far from task-based and using standard language, with precise scenery and partial visualization for a deep understanding of the theme of the novel is attempted by the reader. The author's ideology is a criticism of the reactionary and superficial thinking of the people, which is reflected in the way people think about the hero of the story and the murder of revolutionaries by other militants. The dominant thinking in this novel is the struggle against colonialism, where the events of the story revolve around it and its contextual context is dedicated to Algerian colonization.
